The Best Airlines for Flying Business Class, Ranked by Passengers

Malaysia Airlines won Skytrax’s award for Best Airline Staff Service in Asia and placed third in the broader World’s Best Cabin Crew category.

Iberia was recognized by Skytrax as the winner of the Best Airline Staff Service in Europe title. Iberia also placed 16th in Skytrax’s overall World’s Best Airline ranking.

Etihad Airways ranked ninth in Best Business Class Airline Seats and fifth in Best Business Class Airline Comfort Amenities.

Lufthansa was the 14th best airline in the world in Skytrax’s overall ranking. It also ranked third in both the World’s Best First Class Airlines and World’s Most Family Friendly Airlines categories.

Aside from being named the 12th-best airline in the world, Qantas won the titles of Best Airline in the Australia/Pacific Region and Best Airline Staff Service in the Australia/Pacific Region.

Qantas is upgrading its business-class seats and amenities on forthcoming Project Sunrise flights with perks such as privacy doors, memory foam mattresses, and larger screens.

Delta Air Lines’ onboard WiFi was ranked second-best in the world behind Qatar Airways.

Virgin Atlantic’s business-class offerings were ranked 12th, while the airline overall placed 18th in Skytrax’s World’s Best Airline ranking.

Skytrax ranked Emirates the sixth-best airline in the world. It also took the top spot in the World’s Best Airline Inflight Entertainment category.

EVA Air, a Taiwanese carrier, won World’s Most Family Friendly Airline, World’s Best Premium Economy Class, and World’s Best Premium Economy Class Amenities in addition to making the top 10 for its business-class offerings.

In addition to ranking ninth in Skytrax’s World’s Best Business Class ranking, Japan Airlines also had the sixth-best business-class seats.

Air France’s business-class seats ranked 10th, and its onboard catering ranked seventh in Skytrax’s passenger ranking.

STARLUX Airlines had the seventh-best business-class seats and the sixth-best business-class onboard catering in Skytrax’s ranking.

Turkish Airlines’ “flying chef” in business class helped the airline secure the top title of Best Business Class Onboard Catering.

Hainan Airlines had the best business-class amenities of any airline in Skytrax’s ranking.

ANA was found to have the second-best business-class seat behind Qatar Airways.

Cathay Pacific Airways’ business-class seats placed third in Skytrax’s ranking, while its business-class catering placed eighth.

Skytrax’s passenger survey determined that Singapore Airlines had the fourth-best business-class seats and the fifth-best business-class catering. It also won the title of world’s best airline for the sixth year in a row in Skytrax’s overall contest.

Skytrax named Qatar Airways the world’s best business-class airline. Its Q-Suite won the award for the World’s Best Business Class Seat, and the airline’s Al Mourjan Garden Lounge at Hamad International Airport in Doha was named the World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge.
