Ripple is clearly diving into agentic commerce.
The company announced on X a partnership with Privy, a Stripe company, to bring embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger. Interestingly, the partnership will enable developers to build payment experiences using XRP, RLUSD, and other digital assets “directly” into their apps, without users having to manage private keys. Ripple summed it up as:
Broadening access to XRPL, from everyday payments to agentic commerce.
Strategically, Ripple clearly views AI agents as a potential enabler of future payments and a means to make crypto transactions more accessible with less human input. So, what does Privy have to do with this?

Privy allows developers to embed XRPL wallets within their apps, which makes it easier for users to interact with XRP and RLUSD and others without dealing with their private keys. This promotes the creation of applications that enable payments through AI, thus supporting Ripple’s AI-driven payments vision.
As for adoption, Ripple notes that the XRPL has facilitated 13 million agent payments, representing approximately 25% of total transactions on the network. Thus, if these figures are any indication of the rise of automated transactions, they could be a sign of things to come for XRPL within AI commerce.
The important question, then, is whether this will lead to increased adoption for Ripple [XRP] on the network.
XRP eyes new adoption drivers as AI payments gain momentum
Despite its technical shortcomings, 2026 is set to be a significant year for XRP.
According to Token Terminal data, the XRPL network has seen over 200 million transactions on average across three consecutive quarters, representing the highest level of on-chain activity in more than two years. Assuming this trend persists, Privy’s partnership could catalyze adoption by facilitating the creation of AI-powered payment applications on top of XRPL.
On-chain data is already showing strength. XRPL’s stablecoin supply increased by 306.15% from $300.99 million in late December to $1.22 billion in 2026. RLUSD makes up $1.14 billion of that sum. At the same time, payments enabled by artificial intelligence are seeing increased adoption on the network.
According to t54.ai, XRPL processed over 600,000 daily settlements at the end of September and beginning of October, with spikes close to 700,000.

In short, XRP Ledger is poised to benefit from the growing AI economy.
With growing transaction volumes each quarter and reports that 25% of transactions on the network are already agent-driven payments, the Privy partnership has the potential to catalyze adoption by making it easier to develop AI-powered payment applications on top of XRPL.
Hence, the next phase of XRP adoption could be driven by “AI-powered” payments.
Final Summary
-
Ripple’s Privy deal could boost XRPL adoption through easier AI-powered payments.
-
Rising network activity and stablecoin growth could support XRP’s next rally.
