Pearl, the native token of the Pearl Layer-1 network, has launched on NEAR Intents. The move allows for swapping of tokens across more than 35 different networks. Additionally, the integration provides the Near Protocol’s [NEAR] Click API.
As a result, this makes it possible for wallets and applications to integrate Pearl [PEARL] token swaps.
In simple words, through NEAR’s infrastructure, miners will be able to swap PEARL for assets within all of those 35+ networks. Therefore, there may be easier access to stablecoins or other currencies for miners as they pay for electricity and hardware.

More importantly, Pearl’s Proof of Useful Work model links token issuance to AI computations that also secure the network. As such, miners receive both block rewards and inference fees based upon the same workload they are using to mine blocks.
This link could create a direct relationship between AI usage and token utility. However, for PEARL to have sustained value, it will require consistent AI-related workloads creating sufficient activity and generating fees that can support miners.
PEARL gains cross-chain access
As part of the integration, NEAR intents provides PEARL with access to an existing cross-chain market. No additional cross-chain bridges for each individual network would be required for this.
Currently, NEAR intents’ ecosystem provides a cross-chain marketplace that includes approximately 38 networks, along with more than 200 assets. Major stablecoin markets are included in the asset list as well.
This is important for miners who need to have liquid means to exit transactions quickly in order to meet costs associated with electricity and hardware. NEAR intents reported more than $37 billion in cumulative volume and more than $144 million in daily volume traded.

A large trading platform like this offers stability for those looking to utilize cross-chain swaps.
Moreover, confidential transactions enable users to transfer funds anonymously. Although the fact that the entire network is utilizing this function does not necessarily mean that there will be a greater demand for PEARL.
Instead, it will rely upon how frequently miners and traders utilize these services to conduct swaps, develop deeper liquidity levels, and ensure reliable execution.
Can AI demand sustain PEARL’s value?
PEARL’s next challenge is converting wider access into sustained market demand. PEARL’s market activity will show whether easier cross-chain access translates into genuine demand. At press time, the token was trading around $1.69, up 17% in the last 24 hours.
The daily volume increased alongside price rally, hovering near $12 million and was up 36%.
However, activity remains concentrated on a few centralized exchanges, suggesting NEAR access has yet to reshape its liquidity. This matters because GPU miners need reliable markets to convert rewards into operating funds.
Ultimately, stronger demand must therefore come from real AI workloads and paid inference, not token issuance alone.
Final Summary
-
PEARL (PEARL) has joined NEAR Intents, gaining confidential swap access across more than 35 blockchain networks.
-
PEARL’s long-term demand will depend on real AI workloads, paid inference, and sustained trading activity.
