Spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETF recorded its biggest outflows since June 2025 on the 22nd of October, 2026, worth $635.5 million.
On the same day, BlackRock’s IBIT led the withdrawals with $254.1 million. This was followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $217.5 million, ARK 21Shares’ ARKB at $109.4 million, Bitwise’s BITB at $27.4 million, and Grayscale’s GBTC at $29.5 million.
In fact, together, these products accounted for the bulk of the daily outflow. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Morgan Stanley’s MSBT recorded a relatively small $2.3 million inflow that provided little offset to the broader selling pressure.

Trend reversal
The scale of the withdrawals was particularly striking because it erased the positive momentum built up during the preceding two sessions, which had collectively attracted more than $1.05 billion.

In fact, according to AMBCrypto’s recent report, Bitcoin ETFs recorded a massive $663 million in inflows, marking their largest single-day intake in two months.
At the same time, Switzerland’s FINMA approved a physically backed Bitcoin fund, BBIT, for retail investors, with trading expected to begin on the SIX Swiss Exchange in November.
Bitcoin is back near the $81K radar
This BTC ETF rollercoaster came as Bitcoin was trading at $81,612.79 at press time after a modest drop in the past 24 hours but a drop of over 5% in the past month.
In other words, Bitcoin is once again back in the playground, where it is testing the $81,000 level. That said, Glassnode describes this price level as the estimated cost basis of investors in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs.

For those unaware, the ETF cost basis refers to the average price at which investors acquired Bitcoin exposure through these funds. This level usually influences investor behavior.
So, if BTC remains above $81,000, the level could act as support and help stabilize the market. However, a sustained break below the $81K price level could weaken sentiment, particularly among investors who entered the market around this price.
Did altcoin ETFs mirror BTC ETFs?
On the other hand, other altcoin ETFs somewhat followed a similar pattern as BTC ETFs.

Notably, the newly launched Zcash [ZEC] ETF recorded $14.23 million in inflows, followed by the XRP ETF, which saw inflows worth $3.55 million all this on the 22nd of October.
