Project Eleven adds Quantus to institutional custody platform — Will it push QTC to $1000?

Project Eleven, a post-quantum era security firm, has integrated Quantus into its Strongpoint institutional crypto custody platform. Quantus, a quantum-resistant network launched in September, will join as a development partner. It will be the second Strongpoint partner after Zcash Foundation.

But what exactly is Project Eleven trying to solve that traditional crypto custody, such as Coinbase Prime and Fidelity Digital Assets, have not proactively addressed?

Can Quantus crypto solve traditional custody problem?

The recent AI advances alongside the quantum computer threat will likely accelerate the post-quantum (PQ) era push. Unfortunately, each blockchain will use a separate cryptographic system that may pose operational challenges for institutions relying on traditional systems.

Project Eleven noted that out of the 10 blockchains that have announced PQ plans, the approaches span 6 different post-quantum signature schemes.

Additionally, there are varied methods for account migration, key rotation, and even asset recovery for each of the approaches.

According to Alex Pruden, CEO of Project Eleven, the current traditional custody system by Coinbase and Fidelity was built for a world where the cryptography beneath rarely changed.

Unsurprisingly, even the current proposed PQ methods, including lattice-based or hash-based systems, are still widely debated by blockchain researchers.

Simply put, even accepted standards today will likely keep evolving. This will force institutions to evolve with them and navigate the different cryptography adopted by each network. Pruden added,

Quantum computing is upending that model (traditional). If every network adopts a different solution, institutions could be forced to rebuild their security infrastructure again and again

Strongpoint also claims to offer a consistent operational layer and separate it from the ever-changing cryptography layer beneath it for smooth custody operations.

This is part of Strongpoint’s broader outreach to more networks and institutions. The general availability of the custody platform will be in Q4 2026, while the Quantus final integration is expected in Q1 2027.

Will Strongpoint boost Quantus crypto token?

This update further cements Quantus and its native token QCT as a post-quantum asset. In fact, after the recent panic following the revelation that AI advances pose a significant threat to crypto security, QTC tripled from below $80 to nearly $190.

However, it had cooled off by 25% at press time. It remains to be seen whether the broader post-quantum and AI narrative will drive it higher. Interestingly, analyst Dennis Liu (known as VirtualBacon on X) projected the coin could hit $1000 by the end of the month amid the ongoing privacy/quantum narrative.

Final Summary

  • Project Eleven has added a post-quantum resistant quantum network to its Strongpoint custody platform.
  • QCT has given back part of its gains after tripling in value amid AI and quantum security fears.
