XRP price news: Ripple-linked token up 4% as traders watch breakout toward $1.35

XRP price news: Ripple-linked token up 4% as traders watch breakout toward $1.35

• Volume increased during the breakout attempt, with CoinGecko showing 24-hour trading volume of about $1.27 billion.

• XRP held above the $1.08-$1.10 area through the session, keeping the short-term recovery structure intact.

Technical Analysis

• The key short-term level is $1.13. A sustained break above it would confirm the triangle breakout watched by traders and bring $1.35 into focus.

• The hourly structure has tightened into a symmetrical triangle, with price compressing between lower highs and higher lows before the latest push higher.

• The daily chart remains more cautious. XRP is still trading inside a descending channel, with the 100-day and 200-day moving averages above price and sloping lower.

• The $1.24-$1.28 area remains the bigger resistance zone because it lines up with the channel’s upper boundary and major moving averages.

• Support remains strongest around $1.02-$1.06, where buyers have repeatedly stepped in over recent weeks.

What traders should watch

• $1.13 is the immediate breakout level. Holding above it would strengthen the short-term bullish setup.

• $1.14 is the next nearby level after marking the top of the latest 24-hour range.

• $1.24-$1.28 is the major resistance zone that XRP needs to clear before the daily chart turns meaningfully stronger.

• $1.02-$1.06 remains the key demand zone. Losing it would expose $0.88-$0.92.

Bitcoin, ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies are rapidly evolving. Follow the latest developments from Yahoo Finance and others here.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency, which is a currency that exists only in digital form and operates without government or banking oversight. By comparison, the U.S. dollar, the EU euro, the Canadian dollar, and other national currencies have paper versions and are issued by their respective governments.

Bitcoin relies on a public digital ledger that validates and records transactions and verifies bitcoin ownership. This ledger is called the blockchain, and it is globally distributed — that is, decentralized — across a broad, worldwide network of servers.

Decentralization is a fundamental aspect of cryptocurrencies. Decentralization facilitates peer-to-peer payments with no banking intermediary, enhanced security, and defense against manipulation attempts.

There are several ways to buy Bitcoin. You can go through a crypto exchange, a fintech app, or a traditional brokerage that will allow you to buy into a bitcoin ETF.

Before placing a trade, though, decide what you actually want: full ownership of your bitcoin and private keys — or easy price exposure inside a familiar, regulated system.

Whichever avenue you take, it’s important to remember that bitcoin remains a high-risk, highly volatile asset compared to many other investments. Prices can surge or drop quickly, sometimes without warning. If you’re considering buying bitcoin, assume volatility is part of the deal.

BANK breaks 8-month falling channel, rallies 124%: Can bulls hold $0.2850?

BANK breaks 8-month falling channel, rallies 124%: Can bulls hold $0.2850?

Lorenzo Protocol [BANK] is up more than 124% in the past 24 hours, having closed with green candles over the past eight days. Speculative trading has driven this surge, as the daily volume has risen more than 252%.

To achieve this high speculative trading volume, different factors have influenced BANK, including technical, fundamental, and chain activities.

Why is BANK pumping today?

First, Lorenzo Protocol is backed by YZi Labs, which is an independent family office primarily managing the wealth of Binance co-founders CZ and Yi He. Such backing breeds a bit of confidence from traders due to the founder’s influence in the crypto space.

Again, BANK is the trendiest token on CoinGecko ahead of Pi Network [PI] and Pump.fun [PUMP]. Others in the top five include The Black Bull [ANSEM] and Pudgy Penguins [PENGU].

Source: CoinGecko

Moreover, the token is outperforming Bitcoin [BTC] and the broader crypto market. That is, the BANK/BTC pair is up more than 85%, confirming this 24-hour performance.

That is not all there is.

On-chain data from Arkham showed a wallet linked to the team or venture capital (VC) moved 84 million BANK to Aster DEX [ASTER]. This suggested a potential selling activity, or they were seeking to provide liquidity on the DEX platform.

BANKBANK

The latter looked to be the most likely case as the altcoin went up. In the case of the former, the price action would start to decline, confirming the on-chain selling activity.

On top of that, whales were aggressively accumulating BANK. Two whales were still holding 7.645 million BANK and 7.445 million BANK, worth $1.89 million and $1.84 million, respectively.

Can BANK’s price continue to rally?

The market structure outlook was also bullish as the token broke out of a falling trend channel. This consolidation in the channel has been in place since November 2025, before breaching the upper resistance on July 15.

It has since reached a new high of $0.2850. However, it has started to face resistance around this level.

The MACD shows bulls are at their highest strength since the coin’s inception, with signal lines pointing north. Additionally, the social dominance percentage is reinforcing the trend on CoinGecko, as the metric has also hit its peak.

Therefore, for BANK to keep rallying, bulls need to keep buying, while the team or VC must keep holding the tokens. Otherwise, profit-taking may put this rally to a halt.

Final Summary

  • BANK surges 124% following YZi Labs’ backing, high social sentiment, outperformance of BTC, and increased chain activity.
  • BANK broke out of a descending trend channel with bulls’ momentum at its peak, but the price is starting to face rejection at $0.2850.

Live markets: Bitcoin ETFs post a fifth straight day of inflows in a first since April

Live markets: Bitcoin ETFs post a fifth straight day of inflows in a first since April

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs took in about $227 million on July 20, a fifth consecutive day of net inflows for the first time since late April, per SoSoValue data. Ether ETFs added about $38 million, led by BlackRock’s ETHA.

The five-day run has pulled in roughly $727 million, the most sustained stretch of buying since the record outflows of June. Total bitcoin ETF assets have climbed back to about $79 billion from a July low near $75 billion. BlackRock’s ETHA drove the ether side with about $34 million.

Bitcoin has held its range near $63,000 as last week’s chip-driven selloff paused, and the return of the ETF bid is the piece that had been missing through a quarter of mostly outflows.

The test is what it holds through. The Fed meets July 28 and 29, and Big Tech earnings land this week, with Alphabet, Tesla and Intel reporting the numbers that will show whether AI spending, the trade bitcoin has moved with all month, is still climbing.

Netflix quietly reveals what AI did to 300 of its programs

Netflix quietly reveals what AI did to 300 of its programs

Every movie you have ever loved has lied to you.

The city skyline was a matte painting. The shark was rubber and it barely worked. The crowd of 40,000 was 400 extras and a lot of patient duplication. Audiences have never actually wanted the truth from a screen. We want the trick to hold.

Hollywood has always been comfortable with that bargain. What it has never been comfortable with is a change in who performs the trick.

That is the fight that shut the industry down in 2023, and it is the fight that has kept studios careful about how they discuss artificial intelligence (AI) ever since. Everyone has been running pilots. Almost nobody has been willing to say how many. The safe play was to call it experimentation, name a single project, and move on before anyone asked a follow-up question.

Netflix (NFLX) just stopped playing it safe.

The streamer told shareholders in its second-quarter letter that roughly 300 of its titles used generative AI somewhere in production this year, with most of that work landing in post-production, according to Variety.

That is not a pilot. That is a supply chain.

What Netflix told its shareholders about AI

The letter described the technology showing up across the full production process, from concept and previsualization through post-production and release. Netflix said the tools help it deliver “higher-quality output more quickly and at a lower cost,” according to Variety.

Three titles got named on the second-quarter earnings call: the Indian sports thriller “Glory,” the Brazilian soccer miniseries “Brasil 70: A Saga do Tri,” and the American Revolution docuseries “The American Experiment.”

Co-CEO Ted Sarandos said the tools handled “really complicated shots and sequences,” including enhanced crowds and historical battle scenes, according to Deadline.

The most specific claim involved that docuseries. It contains 17 minutes of AI-assisted footage produced “twice as fast and at half the cost,” per Fortune.

Netflix does have guardrails on paper. Production partners must flag intended AI use, and generating performances or replacing union-covered work requires consent and the right agreements, according to Digital Trends.

What struck me working through the earnings coverage was the order of the argument. Sarandos led with creative scope and reached cost second. AI “will give creatives better tools to bring their visions to life,” he said, according to IndieWire.

That sequencing is a choice, and it is the tell. Cost is the part shareholders are paying for.

Crypto prices slip without a macro catalyst as PUMP steals the show: Crypto Markets Today

Crypto prices slip without a macro catalyst as PUMP steals the show: Crypto Markets Today

The crypto market is drifting lower, with bitcoin losing 1% since midnight UTC while ether (ETH) is holding up marginally better, shedding 0.65% even as some other risk assets, like U.S. equity index futures, advance.

Futures on the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 indexes posted gains of 0.35% and 0.20%, respectively, expanding the divergence between crypto and stocks that has defined much of this year.

Gold is little changed, holding above $4,000, and the Dollar Index (DXY) also barely moved, leaving crypto without a clean macro narrative to lean on.

CoinMarketCap’s Fear and Greed index sits at 34, deep in “fear” territory, while the average relative strength index (RSI) across crypto pairs has slipped to 44.07, nudging back toward the oversold conditions that set up July’s relief rally.

Derivatives positioning

  • Churn over conviction: Crypto futures are characterized by churning rather than new position establishment. While trading volume surged 81% to $127 billion in the past 24 hours, open interest (OI) remained flat at approximately $111 billion.
  • Leverage demand stalls: Bitcoin futures OI growth stalled near 750K BTC, failing to gain traction despite a recent swing that took the price above $64,000. This stagnation indicates that demand for leverage remains low and is a clear sign investors are not comfortable increasing their risk exposure. A similar pattern of caution is evident in ether (ETH) and XRP futures.
  • Solana capital outflow: Solana (SOL) is seeing a distinct trend of contraction, with futures OI declining to 62 million tokens, the least since early May. This represents a significant drop from the June 24 peak of over 76 million, signaling substantial position unwinding and capital outflows from the SOL market.
  • Bitcoin cash outlier: stands out as today’s exception. OI in BCH futures has surged by 20% to 1.73 million tokens, matching the record high set on June 21. This build-up increases the likelihood of volatile price action ahead, particularly as the token has slipped 3% to $213 over the past 24 hours.
  • Bearish market delta: Broadly speaking, bears appear to be driving the price action across most top-tier tokens. This is reflected in negative 24-hour cumulative volume delta (CVD) readings for most major coins, including bitcoin and ether. Notably, the privacy-focused ZEC has posted the most negative CVD in the market.
  • Volatility fear gauge alert: Traders should stay alert for potential market turbulence. Bitcoin’s 30-day implied volatility index (BVIV) is nearing the 36% mark. This level has served as a floor in recent years; previous instances of the index hitting this threshold have often preceded major volatility booms and sharp bitcoin price slides.
  • Options sentiment divergence: On the Deribit options exchange, persistent downside caution is keeping BTC and ETH puts priced higher than calls. However, 24-hour volume figures reveal a tactical bias toward the upside: the $70,000 Bitcoin call has emerged as the most-traded contract, while the $2,450 call is leading the rankings for ether.

Token talk

  • Zcash (ZEC) reversed course on Monday after its recent run, falling 3.68% to $527. The pullback follows a period of outperformance and may reflect profit-taking.
  • AI tokens are among the broader losers, with FET dropping 2.94% and TAO shedding 2.58%, giving back some of the gains posted last week as the sector struggles to sustain momentum.
  • is the standout mover of the past 24 hours, surging 20% following a wave of noise on social media, led by crypto influencer Ansem who posted bullish analysis alluding to the company making $30 million to $40 million per month in a bear market.
  • Jupiter (JUP) also advanced, rising 1.02% to $0.197 alongside a pickup in trading volume, continuing the token’s gradual rehabilitation after weeks of heavy losses.
  • Lighter (LIT) slipped a further 1.83%, extending a pullback from its record highs as profit-taking continues to weigh on a token that surged more than 200% between May and early July.
  • CoinMarketCap’s Altcoin Season indicator is at 55/100, the highest reading in months, though the Fear and Greed score of 34 suggests the market remains cautious despite pockets of altcoin strength.

WWE SummerSlam Updated Card After Raw Detroit: What’s New?

WWE SummerSlam Updated Card After Raw Detroit: What's New?

WWE didn’t give us new matches for SummerSlam, but they definitely stirred the pot a bit with the ones that were already in place. Chad Gable and Penta team before clashing for the IC title. Oba Femi took out his frustrations on someone and Solo Sikoa is trying to maneuver his way into the Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins main event. Let’s talk wrestling.

Key Facts at a Glance

  • Event: WWE SummerSlam, August 1 and 2, U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis
  • Broadcast: ESPN Unlimited in the US, Netflix internationally, 6 p.m. ET both nights
  • Raw: July 20, Little Caesars Arena, Detroit
  • New matches added: none
  • Confirmed for SummerSlam: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, World Heavyweight Championship · CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes, Undisputed WWE Championship · Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi, Hell in a Cell · Liv Morgan vs. Iyo Sky, Women’s World Championship · Gunther vs. Nick Aldis · Penta vs. Chad Gable, Intercontinental Championship · six-man tag with LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys against Jacob Fatu and the Usos
  • Also announced: Darius Rucker performs the national anthem on August 2

What’s New On The WWE SummerSlam Card?

Nothing, in the literal sense. No match was added in Detroit, which is unusual for a Raw twelve days out from a two-night stadium show.

What WWE did instead was spend the night servicing matches it had already booked. Every significant segment moved an existing SummerSlam program rather than starting a new one, which suggests creative considers the card close to set.

The Aldis announcement at Fanatics Fest was the last real addition, and that came Sunday.

Why Did Chad Gable And Penta Team Up Before SummerSlam?

Gable seemingly has to win at SummerSlam. I’m rooting for him as much as anyone. He’s paid his dues in a major way and he’s still one of the best overall performers in the company. The IC title should be first and a world-title run should follow in the next three years.

The tag match against Ethan Page and Rusev was built to make both men look capable without either taking a loss. Gable fought out of the Accolade and made Rusev tap to a grapevined ankle lock while Penta hit Ethan Page with a Mexican Destroyer.

Booking opponents as partners the week before a title match is an old device, and it works because it lets both get over without a result complicating the finish. It also lands in Minneapolis, which is Gable’s hometown.

Is Solo Sikoa Working His Way Into Reigns Vs. Rollins?

Sikoa came through the crowd, called Rollins out, and offered to watch his back against the Bloodline at SummerSlam. Rollins said he wanted to think about it.

Jacob Fatu came down before he could answer. Sikoa left, Fatu turned his back, and Rollins superkicked him and walked off laughing.

That is WWE hedging. The main event is a singles championship match, and creative has now given itself a reason for four other people to be at ringside without committing to any of them. Backstage, Jey Uso took out Sikoa, and Fatu and Jimmy Uso mauled LA Knight and Sikoa later in the night.

What Else Happened On Raw In Detroit?

Is it me or is anyone else growing weary of Joe Hendry’s seemingly disconnected appearances. WWE doesn’t seem to have anything solid for him, so he just shows up here and there so fans can hear his song. I like Hendry, but more depth is needed and soon.

Hendry beat Dominik Mysterio in a non-title match with help from Danhausen and Iyo Sky, after early interference from Liv Morgan. Oba Femi beat JD McDonagh and told the camera the real money is at Hell in a Cell.

The Vision opened the show with a non-title win over Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee. Full results are here.
